The NFL wants LA for the Television market.

Unsure how much people in LA actually want it.

I don't think the people in LA or Toronto really want a team to be honest.

Goodell keeps talking about a team overseas, but that is about as asinine as an idea can get.

Travel time for that team on road games would be ridiculous and outright stupid.

That's not happening.

As noted, the LA market is all about the telvision. Biggest front running city in the country.

I live in Memphis, you can pretty much take Memphis off the list. Whenever the oilers came here, they didn't do so well financially. This is college basketball country. Heck I hear the nba is thinking detraction with Memphis being one

Plus, stick with me on this one, it wouldn't be a "National" but "International" Football League.

There are several cities that do not support the team they have. This area needs to quit with the paranoid delusion that the rest of the country is talking about us, and that they want to take everything that we have. It is absurd. It makes it more of a joke.

Take the **** about the weather from, of all ****ing people in the world, Bruce Mathison... if we didn't like the weather, we'd move. I like 4 seasons...winter gets a little long, and I love summer, but we get a little diversity, which is not a bad thing. I love the spring and fall...maybe even more than summer itself. If I didn't...I'd pack my **** and move. Everytime somebody comments on the weather, which is a dumb ****ing argument, we get offended?

The only thing working against our team is the uncertainty of it's owner. If we knew that Kelly, by some miracle, really had buyers that were writing checks...we wouldn't worry as much. What this team needs is the ownership to want them in Buffalo...and if there is an owner that intends to move, it may be harder than imagined to get that to go through.

Look what KC did to Arrowhead..that is what we need to do to the Ralph. Gus Johnson was on wood talking about it, and KC spent 300 mill on a total upgrade...that sure sounds better than 1 bill on the Jerrah Center.

What cities "covet" an NFL team??? Who wouldn't? The income from it alone has to be staggering to the businesses in the immediate area.

I don't know...maybe we should just talk about wearing the throwbacks or something...talk about moving always brings me down.

the chargers have a better chance of being moved to L.A. than the Bills.

LA's already lost three NFL teams...Even if they were stupid enough put another one there, they wouldn't last more than 10-15 years...again.

Raleigh. If any other city than Toronto gets the Bills, it'll be Raleigh-- on the sole reasoning that they support the Hurricanes and they have a huge upstate NY diaspora out there.

Vegas-- the NFL hates Vegas. Never gonna happen.

Birmingham-- every team that's ever played in that city has started off strong, then when it had to go against college teams, imploded. Again, not gonna happen.

Memphis-- tried, failed. Less than 35,000 fans a game in 1997. Not gonna happen.

San Antonio, Oklahoma... plausible, particularly in the case of the former.

LA... there were a lot of reasons behind the Rams and Raiders leaving at the same time, including competition and the earthquake. One team could easily gain enough support to succeed in that market, especially now that USC has sanctions on it for a while.

Any city in Mexico... there's big support down there, so it'd be very hard to dismiss them offhand. The border issues, however, would be the most obvious problem.

Norfolk and Portland... I don't think quite yet, mainly because they don't have a 60,000-seat stadium ready.

Norfolk? I don't think so. Mainly because no one is from Norfolk. The only people in Norfolk are military, and they're usually there for a short time.

Also, it's too close to DC.

The NFL seems very interested in London England. The games sell out there and it gives them a European presence since the demise of NFL Europe.

As far as LA is concerned they should move the Chargers or the Raiders there when they finally get a new stadium built. It won't take long for whatever team they put there to be playing to half empty seats. I just don't believe that LA has fan interest or the passion for pro football.

They've also consistently sold out games in Mexico-- in much larger stadiums over 100,000 strong. You'd think they'd prefer to stay on the continent first.

The same thing could be said about Cleveland:

Tigers (1920-1921)-- folded
Bulldogs (1923-1927)-- moved to Detroit
Indians (1931)-- folded
Rams (1937-1945)-- moved to L.A.
Browns (1950-1995)-- moved to Baltimore
Browns II (1999-present)

Not counting non-NFL years.

The Browns market is, and has been, probably among the worst in the NFL, yet the league keeps putting teams there.

The Browns have the lowest average ticket prices in the league, below even the Bills and Jaguars, and are one of the few teams who don't offer a $100 ticket:

My son-inlaw was stationed there a couple years while in the Navy. I have been there visiting them a few times. It is very much a military town & Redskin territory as well.

Snyder would never want an NFL team there, much like Jones would not want another team in Texas.
