    Who?

For all the education and practice each of us undergoes, the achievment of mastery is ultimately the outcome of a personal quest for understanding.

He needs to understand the system, what to do on the field

You could make that same comment about half of this team - LOL!

This lowly cart.... it hits harder and has a higher yards
per play average than the Bills' offense!

He has not practiced in several weeks. Why put him out there and get him injured???

He needs to learn the system.
He needs to earn it on the practice field first.
              He needs to get healthy.
The guy ahead of him on the depth chart is playing decent.
It's a numbers game...if somebody gets hurt, he'll be elevated.

That should just about cover it.

Isn't that the reason he got waived, he was healthy.

Yeah, I thought he was ready to play too. That's the last thing Buffalo needs - another cripple sitting on the bench hoping to get healthy. I suspect he's healthy - the team 'management', and I use that word loosely, just decided to waste a week and wait. What's a mere week wasted to this front office? They've wasted 10 seasons so far. LOL

I noticed that when the Yankees pull in a new player mid-season (like Kerry Woods) that player will start sometimes the very next game. What's with Buffalo dilly-dallying? They should at least have Merriman suiting up - he could always get played for a snap or two - Jeebus!

                    He is healthy.

But if you put a guy into game conditions with no practice, the odds of injury greatly increase. He is unlikely to be in shape to play in a game. Nor does he have the talent any longer to be a difference maker on talent alone.

He is healthy enough to pass a physical (which 95% of us could pass) but he's not in game shape (which 0% of us are likely in).

My bad - I'd forgotten he came off the IR - so he definitely needs to work out and practice before taking any snaps.
