That must be why they signed Quinton Ganther.

I'm guessing all our other receivers will be getting more involved, including Donald Jones.

No big loss, it's time to move on.

Sucks for Roscoe.

Hopefully this means Spiller will handle punt return duties now.

??

He has been a huge part of our offense's revival.

A damn shame. He was not a negative towards losing and playing well. With Easley the 4th rounder also returning from IR next year, WR is the last position we need for the rebuild.

ANDRA DAVIS is done too.. Going to IR

Tough day.

Which you just did.

huh?? wr is the last position we need in our rebuild, because we have a 4th round draft pick and roscoe parrish coming off IR next year? i dont necessarily disagree with you, but mostly because of lee evans and the emergence of stevie johnson.... easley is still a total question mark, and parrish has played well for what, a half season during his whole career as a wr?

He's been here for how many years? If there's two things he's been consistent at its being inconsistent and getting injured.

Gailey's presser is now done.

Three newsworthy items

1- Parrish gone
2- Andra Davis is gone
3- Wrotto is new starting RT

Damn that really sucks! It appears that we finally found a coach that knew how to get him involved and he was having a good seeason. :sigh:

Damnit! He was playing very well and it sucks doubly bad because he was so consistent for my fantasy team the last couple weeks.

Parrish being in IR opens the door for more playing time for Spiller at receiver.

I really ragged on Roscoe last year I feel bad for him I wish we never drafted him since I feel he has been under utilized the hand injury was a fluke he made a great play and his weight came down on it.

Hopefully recovers fast

I've been one of the toughest critics of Parrish the last few years, but he was definitely doing well this season. Davis is a significant loss as well.

That means we will see more of David Nelson. Although Parrish seemed to be reviving his WR career, I don't think that is such a bad thing. Nelson has a knack for making key grabs and gets open on 3rd down. Let's see how he does with the nickel CB on him all day.

Maybe this opens us up to sign Tyrone McKenzie at LB, like NE39 mentioned before.

This is tough news. Tough because Roscoe was flourishing in the ways we always wanted when he got drafted, and he was damn effective, and also because it will reduce our capable threats to 3 instead of 4, allowing defenses to better key in on Johnson on all downs and Nelson on 3rds. :(

hate to bring this up, but there are A TON of reps that would be now going Marcus Easley's way. He is healthy enough to play right now, but was IR'd before the preseason started.

hated the move then, and I hate it more now.

It was from WIVB (channel 4). They just happened to post it on Facebook first, and needing a link, that was the one I grabbed.

Feel bad for Roscoe because he was finally contributing on offense, thanks to Gailey knowing how to utilize him, but Hist called it the moment he was drafted...china doll I believe was the exact term he used.

i was excited by his turnaround, but i was skeptical in his ability to stay healthy the full season. i'm kinda surprised that this was the injury. i thought he'd go down with broken ribs with his routes across the middle and some of the shots he's taken.

Time to give Nelson the experience and we'll be set at the wr position for next year.

What was the main reason people used as to why Roscoe couldn't be an every down NFL WR?

Too small and likely to get hurt.

What happened when we tried to use him as such?

The defense rests.

No, it was he was to small, wasn't good enough, couldn't get off the line, and couldn't make plays.
All wrong. Like the experts who said he should have been cut in camp. Wong again.
Finally had a coach who knew how to use him. This guy would go over the middle and make catches. Falling on your wrist is a fluke .

NO. It was because he couldn't get open and gets one hand tackled.

You need a new defense.
