Curious as to where you think the money that players get fined goes.

does it ultimately just end up back in the pockets of the owners? that has to be frustrating as a player. especially since these hits are starting to cost more than $50k routinely.

that helps pays for a bunch of the empty seats that we are seeing all across the country.

Yes, I read the same, that it all goes to charity...

Probably the ones partnered with the NFL (anyone know if the NFL is still associated with the United Way?)

Fining is the stupidest punishment ever.

If I had enough money to commit crimes, then just pay a small amount of what I have to get away with it, why would I stop?

I think I remember hearing that the fines went to the players fund to help out former players who have fallen on hard times or who are having health issues.... someone like a Kevin Everett who needed alot of medical attention.

considering they likely have donations built into their tax strategy if they get deductions for fines then they are just spin crap for the public and mean absolutely nothing.

"Player fine money is used to support retired player programs, as well as other charitable causes as agreed upon between the NFL and NFL Players Association," said David Krichavsky, the NFL's director of community affairs. "Every letter notifying the player of a fine indicates where the fine money goes. I have gotten feedback from players who don't like writing the check to the NFL, but they are pleased to know it does not go back into our coffers but to charitable organizations."
