    Faulks' comments on Merriman injury

I did not hear the comments myself but according to the local sports radio show out here (Xtra Sports), Marshall faulk commented on Merriman and the injury situation last night on NFL network.

Allegedly Faulk alluded to Merriman wanting out in San Diego and faking his inury when he finally showed up for training camp after signing his 3.6 mil. tender. Then was unhappy about being claimed by Buffalo and did the same. Faulk said he would have done the same thing. It was pretty weird in that he stated they were friends yet threw him partially under the bus.

I stated yesterday I believed this to be the case and still do. Who pulls up lame 10 minutes into their first practice doing individual drills?

And Faulk said he would do the same...what a piece of garbage.

One would think that would be literally criminal. And, Faulk is a douche.

Wow, this entire situation is just pathetic. Playing football isnt very hard.

There are a million blue collar workers doing difficult jobs for much, much less and they arent complaining about it like these two vaginas are.

I don't think he's faking an injury... i think he's hurt and never healed.

You have no idea how big a douche Faulk is. I ran a nightclub here in SD back in the mid 90's. He was eating at our downstairs bar with a friend and his wallet was lying on the ground next to him. I handed it to him and he looked at me like I had just pick pocketed him, never said thanks, no smile, nothing. Several years later he was dating a friend of my wifes and the way he treated her was unreal. He made her pick up checks, she worked in a department store, he made millions. There are other stories not appropriate for this forum but suffice it to say, he is a piece of schnit.

If he was never healed, shouldn't that be another indictment against this regime for bringing in damaged goods?

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. I just don't buy it. Are you telling me the Bills training staff didn't ask him to run, cut, jump, etc. yet as soon as he hits the field he pulls up lame. I think there are a lot of people here with blinders on, JMO.

He passed his physical with SD, so you can't blame Nix on that. If he was still hurt, this is on SD for lying to release him.

He passed two physicals (SD and Buffalo).

No all lingering injuries can be found in a physical.

If is he faking it, he is a moron to the highest degree. This is his chance to show to the league he can still play and get a good deal next season.

w/o playing he will get a NFL minimum deal with no bonus.

pun intended, merriman has no leg to stand on.

faulk has some bizarre issue with the bills. for a guy who never played on the bills and got screwed first hand, i have no idea why he hates the team as much as he does. he goes out of his way to be a dick about it too.

No. The player is not supposed to go onto waivers until he is healed. Putting an injured player on waivers is explicitly against league rules.

No signing bonus and minimum, that's laughable. Whether he plays this year or not, there are plenty of teams that will give him 8-10 mil guaranteed and 4 mil a year, I guarantee it.

I know how baseball works in regards to this if it happens via trade, what are the actions in the NFL against it?

Probably the same thing that happened when they tried to trade McCargo to Indianapolis... the transaction is invalidated and Merriman goes back to San Diego. Don't know beyond that.
