I dont know how many of you have seen this frickin' thing but Eli's new helmet is amazing. Its way bigger than Fitzy's and pretty close to Kelso's old beanie. Eli looks like Dark helmet from Space Balls.

"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

He switched to it after his concussion earlier this year. I think it's a Schutt. A lot of funky looking lids are out there these days.Originally posted by King Bedard

It is. They have enormous bases. Seriously. I wouldn't care if a helmet looked stupid as long as it helps prevent injuries. I don't think the nfl feels the same as it wouldn't be marketablle.
