Super video game style goal to win it there. That was incredible! Hopefully that's the spark the team needed.

Sabres are showing some promising signs of life now... they've won 3 of their last 4 games, and finally won on home ice. I'm looking forward already to Monday's game against the Canucks.

That's what drives people crazy about Vanek. Last nights game shows what he's capable of. Then he'll turn around and have a long stretch where he's almost invisible.

Did anyone else hear RJ during the powerplay when he said "Connolly is on his knees giving it to Roy"? The wife and I got a good laugh at that.

The reason for this is he is a lazy player, who doesn't give an effort at all times. He drives me nuts....

With Vanek I think he presses more than gets lazy.

I agree, he seems to take "it all on his shoulders" and tightens up.

I DVR'd the game - about what time in the game did it happen? I could record a sound clip of it.

Your brother is NOT going to be happy about this.

I want to say it was during the powerplay we scored on, when the capital was in the penalty box for highsticking and unsportsman like conduct toward the end of the second period. but, I could be wrong.

yeah, he would have liked it better if he said Connolly is on his knees giving it to Brian.

I tried recording it on my cellphone - but it was very garbled sounding. I tried a couple times, no go. Sorry!
