It should be priority number 1 for the Bills this offseason...

it will definitely show a commitment to excellence

regardless....when a player performs like this you reward him, can't screw him over like we did with Peters...this guy deserves it even more than Peters

2008 draftee so it;s probably a 4 or 5 year deal... that means 2013 or 2014.

We have some other guys to worry about (namely Poz and KW), though some restructuring may be in order.

My mistake, Evans is signed through the 2012 season.

i love how he is playing and always believed he could play like this but i would like to see another year of similar play before the bills give him a big pay day.

They didn't screw over Peters. They gave him an extension once it was obvious that he was going to move to left tackle. They offered to give him another extension once they took care of other contracts first. But he wanted a crazy amount of money that he's not worth.

I agree, Love what he's doing, lets just let him go for awhile longer. If he is going to be a star then it will happen. Just need more than a handful of games. If it's in him it will be there halfway through next season to.

It's too early to be seriously talking about an extension for Johnson.

However, I hope he doesn't become too "big" for Buffalo and start to act like Chad Johnson and TO.

According to Rotoworld:

2010: $470,000,
2011: $550,000,
2012: Free Agent

Next season will be his last unless a contract extension is agreed upon. An extension at the end of THIS season warrants consideration.

You cant give this guy an extension because of 1 spectacular season. There's a reason we're stuck with players like Maybin, they have a good season and we're hooked.

Maybe Kyle Williams, but he's earned his extension and then some. Chris Kelsay?... I get your point though. Let's see him do it again through part of next year and extend him mid-season.

What?

Maybin has done nothing, we're stuck with him because it was a bad draft pick, or at least everything up to now would suggest that.
