Johnson fined $5,000 for "Why So Serious" T-shirt celebration

Stevie told the media he was fined $5,000 for his t-shirt/celebration today.

He was also fined $10,000 earlier this season for mimicking the Pats rifle shooter in New England after he scored.

        Making $470,000 this year.
Scheduled to make $550,000 next year.

This year now down to 455K after the fines.

Not much $$. But definitely a difference for him compared to other guys who get hit. Maybe one less night out with the lady.

You're talking gross income, Im talking more net which would be after the government gets their share. Then the amount seems like a lot more.

              Especially in NYS.

But I would guess that the fine is tax deductible.

                  Exactly!

Not sure if its tax deductible, if it is Id be a little surprised if the entire thing is. But Im sure (or I hope) he pays a very smart person to know all of that for him.

Yeah, don't the fines go to charity? I'm sure the players take that into account when they plan on getting fined. I have little doubt that a lot of them give money to charities anyway of their own volition.

But is the fine pre-tax or post-tax?

Factor in the air-time he's getting, consider that a down payment on the future investment of Support the SJ fund.
