Bills Spread offense vs Steelers Base D

An advantage that Buffalo may hold in this game is their frequent use of the spread offense.

By using 4 and 5 wide or 4 wrs and Fred as the 5th receiver the Bills will force the Steelers out of their base defense and into their dime defense.

This will limit Lebeau's use of exotic blitzes. It will pretty much be the same strategy the Bills used against Baltimore.

I think the Bills will be able to put up some points in this game if the Steelers don't find a solution to it. We also have the luxury of being pretty deep at WR so when we have Evans, Johnson, Nelson, Jones and Jackson on the field the Steelers will have to match up weaker CBs or use LBs which will be a mismatch.

I wouldn't bet on the Bills being shut down in this one.

they shouldn't worry about our O. It's our D they have to look out for. Maybin is gonna have a field day vs. Ben

Is Maybin ever even going to play another down this year? I can't believe with how piss poor our LB's are that he's not even good enough to dress on game day.

I think they are keeping Maybin healthy so they can trade him to the eagles where Dick is coaching.

It depends on the weather. If it's windy and crappy, it's a disadvantage for Buffalo, IMO.

Yeah it would be a factor. Not sure that it would stop them though. I'd hope to see Fitz excel in the elements.

As of right now, weather conditions for Sunday look pretty good.

I was going with the Colts but what the hell could we get from them that they would give up? Manning's skidded underwear?

I don't think Dick LeBeau is too worried about his blitz selection being limited.

If we can score consistently against a strong Steeler D, I know for a fact we will not be going QB in the 1st rd next yr...

Absolutely correct, we can not beat the Steelers in a slug fest.

IF we are in 3rd and longs, the blitz will get to the QB prior him releasing the ball. Got to be in 3rd and shorts.
