    Dayne's solo ways don't sit well with Fassel

    New York Giants running back Ron Dayne did it his way this off-season and that was the wrong way, according to Giants coach Jim Fassel.

    The Heisman Trophy winner from the University of Wisconsin, whose third season in the league was the worst in his career, decided to spend five weeks with a personal trainer in Euclid, Ohio, rather than work out at the Giants' practice facility.

    Dayne showed up at the Giants' mini-camp in early June seeking to mend ways with Fassel, who said it was inexcusable for Dayne to miss the team's off-season workout program.
