    Luck vs. Mallett?

I really like the potential with Luck and he is very impressive with all his intangibles but look at Mallett's stats this year! This isn't his first year putting up these numbers against the SEC's finest either...

ooops! This new Windows Premium 7 is going to take a little getting used to. Pardon the copies of these stats I put in here. I'd be fine if we drafted him instead of Luck! He puts up numbers religiously in a pro-style offense.

Great point! I think no matter what happens and wherever we draft Nix is going to pick us a winner! Luck, Mallett, Dareus, Bowers, Green...how can you screw a pick up if you are in the top five of the draft?

Hold those comments...I know, we have shown that in the last ten years we are great at screwing it up!

well to be fair the system mallet plays in is designed to put up huge numbers like that, compared to luck's hard nose power NFL sytle offense.

Just look at how mallet's back up performed when he was out....

If he hadn't been knocked out of the game Arkansas would have beaten Auburn and we wouldn't be even wondering if he's better than Luck, we would all know he is.

I luv that people look at Stats.
If you look at stst the Cam Newton is the #1 pick in the draft...

Stats mean absolutely CRAP going in the NFL I have seen Mallett play for the past few years. He is a good QB with a great ARM but don't even think of comparing him to Andrew Luck.....Sorry Luck is the best QB in the this draft and I was all about Locker going into the season.

On straight talent and physical tools, Locker is the top guy.

What has yet to be determined is if he can learn and run an NFL offense.

If so, he's easily the best QB out of this class. If not, he'll bust faster than Akili Smith.

Bump. Mallett has a big challenge ahead of him in LSU. Game starts in less than 30 minutes and should be really fun to watch. I'm hoping for a great game out of him and still think he'd be a pretty good consolation prize instead of Luck.

Mallett will get blitzed to death in the NFL. He is a statue ala Drew Bledsoe and doesn't have as much talent as Drew had.

If he had 5 pro bowl olinemen in front of him he might be good! But haven't we already been down that road before??????

Mallett appears to have good pocket presence and awareness. It's not like Brady and Manning are mobile and they do just fine. Manning doesn't have a good offensive line either.

No he doesn't. Comparing him to Brady and Manning, who have some of the best pocket presence ever, ruins any chance of credibility.

I would be fine with drafting Mallet in the top 10, but not top 5, if he has a good character and no off the field concerns.
