Which loss is the most heartbreaking loss in recent memory (say post- Music City Miracle)? Is it the near win today? The Pats Monday night game last year? What about the choke against the Cowboys on Monday night a couple years ago? Help me reminisce about all the near victories that only the Bills could find a way to lose.

No offense, but if I want that kind of pain by reliving past Bills losses I'd prefer to hit my toe with a hammer.

Tell you what Frank...
How about we just stand face to face and alternate kicking each other in the stones as hard as we could for a week. I think that would be apropos...

I agree....and I've only had to put up with them since '69...my brain doesn't go back any further.

This game wasnt really heartbreaking... It was a game that didnt matter either way. Would have liked to have seen a win though

If the rule is post MCM - the Dallas Monday Game was worse than this

I'm sorry, no. If you didn't find today's game heartbreaking, then you aren't much of a Bills fan.

Based on heart palpitations - this game is #2 in recent memory to the Dallas Monday Night game.

Well there's certainly no shortage of games to choose from. I would say the Dallas MNF game, last years Patriots MNF game, and this year's Ravens and now this Steelers game were all extremely painful to witness. All exciting games against good teams which WE should have been the winners and lost in a heartbreaking fashion in each one. Those are my top 4 "recent" ones

This one doesn't touch the Dallas Monday night game or last year's Pats opener

I'll say:

Wide Right
Music City Miracle
Monday Night game against Dallas
Monday Night game against New England

In that order and incidentally that is chronologically ordered as well.

I wouldn't quite rank this loss with those, due to our current record and just being another Sunday game, also because of the other OT losses endured just a few games ago.

You kids...

1972 Bills lose to Fins 24-23 on controversial call - Miami goes on to perfect season
1979 Dempsey misses FG against Fins to keep the Miami streak going
1980 Ferguson playing on no ankles has great game but Bills lose to SD because nobody remembers to cover Jefferson with 1 minute to play
1990 Ronnie Harmon short arming a winning TD against Cleveland in the playoffs

Eb - many of realize that.

From the first post:

Which loss is the most heartbreaking loss in recent memory (say post- Music City Miracle)? Is it the near win today?

He specifically limited this to RECENT times.

BTW, if you want to go back into the past think the delay of game against the Bengals.

And the WR for San Diego was Ron Smith, not Jefferson.

Their #4 WR.
