Peterson.

Tough one.

On 1 hand we have the huge disappointment in Lee Evans on the other hand we have the bust Leodis McFumbles.

Even though I would probably choose Peterson, I think it should be noted AJ Green shows up every single week. He is also extra special in bigger games.

if we draft a wr with our first round pick we deserve to finish dead last in the afc east for the next decade.

that said if we draft a cb in round 1 we deserve to finish dead last in the afc east for the next decade.

LINES LB QB

anything outside of those three is killing this team for 4 or 5 more years.

You know as well as I do that a shutdown CB frees up your defense to a lot more blitzing and disguising coverages.

Will it help against the run? Obviously not. But we've been terrible vs the pass as well.

Spot on. However, to play the game in this thread - Peterson.

So out of curiosity, what lineman/QB would you draft in the top 5 besides Luck?

If we had anything that resembled a pass rusher on the outside, the DBs wouldn't have to stay in coverage for 10 seconds every play.

Peterson, we talked up our secondary but we really don't have the depth we thought going into this season. Florence is going to be an FA, McGee hasn't been healthy for a season and a half (maybe more). McKelvin is still a work in progress. I'd still take a pass rusher over both, but that wasn't your question.

Pretty obvious for most to see except we actually have wizards around here that would take Green or Peterson. You know it's the "value".

Tough call, but Ill take Peterson.

if we can have a lockdown CB we can send more and create more exotic coverages and blitz's

i would have to take D over O also since i feel chan can make things work most of the time (today they were off and oline sucked)

Peterson out of the two. Look at what Revis brings to the Jets. If only we can have a CB like that if he is available. Granted, we have a ton of holes to fill. The point of this thread is to pick between two players, so it's Peterson. We need a CB more than we need a WR IMO.

I'll answer the question rather than rant.

Patterson

Peterson for sure. We are solid at WR and a CB like Peterson changes your defense. I wouldn't be surprised if he was our pick.

A WR....

Yeah...let's follow the Lions Matt Millen business plan.

How in the world are we solid at WR? An aging vet whose skills are clearly diminished, an emerging young player who still struggles with consistency issues, two players coming off season ending injuries and two WR's who are best fit in the slot.

We have no true playmaker in the bunch as of yet.

The Bills have the worst run defense in the league by a wide margin. They are not going to win much until they fix that.

Peterson.

Nelson is looking good, Stevie and Easley are definitely part of the future. Evans is under contract. Roscoe's injury has stunted this offense, we've even seen flashes from Donald Jones.

Our CB situation is much murkier. McGee's days as a #1 CB are coming to an end. Florence looks like a solid #2 but he's 30 too. McKelvin? Complete unknown right now with his head. Corner is nothing but an average nickel back. Really nothing after that, Youbouty's been a huge bust. I wouldn't be upset if we took Peterson or Amukamara.
