Wow! I didn't think that would happen this quickly. It's a good move, he's a dumbass at evaluating talent and has a big ego.

Makes you wonder what will happen with Tebow. Broncos are now in the Luck running.

Honestly, why isn't Chris Petersen ever mentioned? He's a damn good football coach, no gimmicks, pro-style football, hard-nose D. I'd definitely take a long look at him if I was an owner.

Don't think that's Jim's dream job. From the sounds of things, he's looking more to be an NFL coach than college.

After ruining the Broncos roster McDaniels can head back home to New England. Mission Accomplished.

McDaniels has made so many bad decisions in Denver that Matt Millen was offended. This should've happened sooner, if that is possible.

His first draft was about as awful as they come. Traded a future first round pick to draft Alphonso Smith. Then traded him to Detroit after a year or a little more for...I think a 5th round pick. You're 100% correct, his decisions were terrible.

I always knew McDaniels was not very good. He was just a product of learning under Belichick, and no good can come from that. I think if he goes anywhere outside of NE, he'll be a relative flop as an OC too.

The Broncos were my second-favorite team until McDaniels pulled that stunt with Hillis. The man puts up big numbers and then gets kicked to the curb in favor of a rookie, then traded for a backup QB who couldn't beat Derek Anderson for a starting job.

If that isn't racism, I don't know what is.

That's what I was thinking. Gruden loved Tim Tebow. He's gotta be tempted to coach him.

mcdaniels might have a hard time. it seems like most circles dont buy his, "i had nothing to do with the filming" speech.

He wanted to swim on his own. i can't imagine belichick helping him out with a 10-2 team. "you left us to run another team. why don't you come back while we were super successful without you?"

these are the risks of leaving.

So I wonder how the Cowboys, Broncos, and Vikings search for a head coach will go, given the lackluster results of Buffalo's alleged search for a HC last year?

Ickybaluky

McDaniels was obviously not ready for a HC job and got over his head in Denver, but the guy is a terrific offensive coach. Charlie Weiss always gets a ton of credit as an OC, but McDaniels was a better play-caller IMO. He may have struggled with personnel stuff (losing Elvis Dumervil hurt as well), but he did turn Kyle Orton into a very good QB. The guy can coach.

The big rumor is Denver wants Troy Calhoun, the Air Force coach who was a Broncos assistant in the past.

he's a very good coordinator who was way in over his head in trying to run an entire team from top to bottom.

I think in time he could become a very good coach.

The real question is will McDaniels end up in KC with all of the other ex-Pats. Of course, he did have that 'moment' with Todd Haley...

He seems to have the extreme arrogance of youth, with none of the humility that comes with age and experience.
