seems like the avalanche could run for 2000 yards in this game alone. His hard running style, their unabashed use of him, and the fact he scores a lot, this isn't going to be pretty. hopefully the 30+ point Bills offense shows up.

DL is weak, although we do have guys making some plays, we don't have guys that can just hold there own and stack the line.

Our front 7 is horrible and throw in the mix whitner gets run over all day and byrd is horrible in run support it all adds up

add poor coverage by bust mckelvin and the writing is on the wall for whole sale change if you want ot keep running the 3-4

i say cut stroud in the offseason and move kyle williams to DE...as many plays he has made this season he has been pushed around at will in the run game...get troup out there and get a big nasty NT in FA or Draft to spell each other

We used a 2nd and 3rd rd draft picks on two d-linemen. Time for these guys to step up and provide something.

                "Dear Bills Run Defense"?

This is similar to a letter entitled "Dear Santa Claus" or "Dear Tooth Fairy". I think all three are completely fictitious.

This lowly cart.... it hits harder and has a higher yards
per play average than the Bills' offense!

Opposing OL usually say " Let me help you up, Dear " to our guys after most running plays.

                      Ya think?

I mean, as a draft fan, I pour over the prospects and look at whom might be he best prospect to improve the run. We also aren't getting enough pressure.

My problem is with who we already have. Kyle Williams is a pro-bowl caliber player at the nose. We could possibly move him out and start Troup or a rookie next year at the NT spot. But looking at it, I don't see a true NT type guy in the top 15 where we will be picking.

Is it Stroud or Edwards? Edwards is solid at one DE spot, and you would think Stroud would be solid at the other. I mean should we spend at top draft pick on a guy which will send Stroud to the bench? I mean Stroud? And isn't that what Carrington was supposed to be?

Watching our DL, I see guys that struggle to get off blocks to make the stop. It seems across the board, on the DL in the LB group. Maybe improving the LB corp would be beneficial to their production. If you add a guy or guys who will shed blocks and blow up into the hole to make the stop, you have to account for that. You can't put all 5 on the front 3. And if you add a better OLB, not only could you add pass rush but you may get a better cover man who could improve us on 3rd downs.

I think our D could like this next season:

                        DE: Edwards
                        NT: Troup/Draft Pick
                        DE: K. Williams

                        LB: Moats
                        LB: Posz
                        LB: Davis
                        LB: Coleman/Batten/Draft Pick

                        CB: McKelvin
                        CB: Florence

                        FS: Byrd
                        SS: Whitner

Unless Moats or Batten step up big time, this is no better than what we have.

And don't forget about Carrington at DE. He's looked good in limited action so far.

Are there any FA NT's available?

There is no way they can go into next season with that linebacker corps and expect a different outcome.

That's ridiculous. The bills have no choice but to pick a linebacker in one of the top 2 rounds!

                              And where's Mcgee?
