All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Hey guys, I'm new here. Been a diehard going back when Joe Ferguson was taking snaps. I look forward to discussing our team with you guys.
First up for me is Spiller. While I love his skills, his performance to date has been dissapointing. While it is to early to call him a bust, I am concerned. We have enough holes in the roster already, without having to start over again at the RB position.
Re: Is Spiller going to start showing us something?
welcome to the board.
i wouldn't worry about spiller just yet. even in the worst case, "he's a bust" scenario, there seems to be plenty of nondrafted runningbacks who run ok. Ganther seems to be an average back who filled in nicely. had a long run or two and picked up blocking.
I really don't think we run enough to truly judge the RB's and for the time being fred jackson is the man.
Re: Is Spiller going to start showing us something?
Spiller isn't a bust. Maybe they could've drafted elsewhere to help the team, but they didn't, and they'll be fine anyways.
Now if this team was fighting for a playoff spot and Spiller still wasn't playing/producing, I'd be a little more worried. Right now just let him get a few reps and learn the ropes so he can make an impact next season.
Re: Is Spiller going to start showing us something?
Im not worried.
I think in college he was able to rely on his speed and now he is still figuring out exactly how fast these pro players are at every single position. He will hopefully figure out how to better utilize his blockers, hit the hole hard and get the 4 yards that are usually there, and let the big plays come as they may. Chris Johnson is so good because he is patient and takes the yards hes given, but when that 1 play comes where the long run is available, he takes full advantage...this is what Spiller needs to learn, patience.
Re: Is Spiller going to start showing us something?
My big concern about Spiller is that so many great RB's break out in their first year. Hell, look at LeGarrett Blount and Chris Ivory.
RB has the easiest learning curve in the NFL and it is not a good sign that Spiller is taking a long time to catch on.
That being said, Jackson is taking a lot of snaps and our OL sucks at run blocking. So, while I am still concerned, it's not impossible for him to improve and be an impact player.
Re: Is Spiller going to start showing us something?
i just don't think our RB's get the touches. especially in the first half. in the games they played well in the second half, fred jackson came out and ran the ball. but i can't remember a single game where the running game started out well.
and likei said, fred takes the majority of snaps. it's hard to see spiller walk in for one run and expect much mroe than a few yards.
i do hope that we've seen the last of mckelvin on kicks and punts with a healthy spiller.
Re: Is Spiller going to start showing us something?
Spiller has seen less touches this year than I expected, which is saying something considering I was basically the only person on this board saying he wasnt ready to handle a full load of carries this early in his career.
COMING SOON...

Did Jesus tell you that too? Or was it obvious?
Spiller will never be able to handle a full load of carries at the NFL level.
Re: Is Spiller going to start showing us something?
I'm willing to bet right now that Spiller will be another bust. I agree with OpIv37's take - he should have shown us more at this point than he has.
His acquisition, given the far more glaring and obvious needs of the team, seemed to me to reek of Ralph Wilson Jr's increasingly erratic and incompetent meddling again.
This lowly cart.... it hits harder and has a higher yards
per play average than the Bills' offense!
