    Question about Lee Evans contract

WalterFootball has this under the projected pick of Nick Fairley. I thought Evans contract for next season for only $4 million or so? Anyone clarify this?

A.J. Green, WR - Lee Evans is due to make $8.4 million next year. He didn't have a good season, so the thrifty Bills could decide to part ways with him.

Re: Question about Lee Evans contract

Rotoworld has his salary at $5.4M with an additional $3M roster bonus, for a total compensation of $8.4M, in 2010.

For the final 2 years of his contract, they show $3.025M in salary and $1M in roster bonus, for a total compensation of $4.025M each year.

It looks like the quote you used had the years mixed up.

Yeah he was trying to support his argument on why they could take AJ Green with that pick. But with Evans salary so affordable the next two seasons, it is ridiculous to think that he won't be with the team for the next two seasons. I think he is as good as gone in 2013.

Re: Question about Lee Evans contract

We can well afford Evans for another 2 years, to give us a solid veteran presence as the young receivers develop. And we won't need to take a WR in the upcoming draft. Win-win situation.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

I would be BEYOND SHOCKED if Evans isnt a Bill next season.

              1- The organization loves him.

2- He was paid alot of money upfront and early in his contract, his base for next 2 years is very very manageable.

If we cut Evans at 2:26pm, he'd be a Patriot by 2:27pm.

Yeah, he's a blue collar type of guy that never dives for a ball or runs over the middle... and then lays down before he gets hit.

Patriot or Colt same day we cut him. And then we can cry for 5 years as he averages 80 catches and 1200 yards a year over the next 4-5 seasons.
