I'd love to bring him in to run the defense.

I'm sure Harbaugh will be on short list. He's right down the street.

He never called a defense in his life.

If they let their DC go, Greg Manusky. now im interested. There is a connection also, Nix was in SD with him. he was Shawn Merriman's position coach as well. So if they want to keep Merriman, that would be a good start.

I guess screaming at Troy Smith was the last straw

Wade or Marvin Lewis please for D coordinator

I've met this guy, watched him speak. Great leader, guy with integrity in a world where there isn't much. Needs a capable offensive mind/asst. HC he can work with to mind the O, but I stake that SF takes a fair step back with this move.

NOT THE DUDE...

Singletary will never get another HC job in the NFL.

He doesn't have the right mentality and personality for todays NFL.

Im not sure he has it to be a NFL coach. His way of coaching wears on players quickly.

I agree with the comments he won't be around in todays NFL. If he were coaching in the 70's he would be good. But today not so much. He is to much like Ditka IMO.

He's not a coordinator. His schtick was being an ******* and "motivating" players; not calling plays or scheming.

I agree he is not the right kind of guy for today's NFL players.

I think he'd do well with a college program that is downtrodden. Not a big, powerhouse program, but one that needs a shot. He is the kind of guy that could come in and get people to buy in and motivate them and get it back on the right track. After a while, though, he'd wear on those kids and university, as well.

UB? They've lost players like Roosevelt and desperately need help on both sides of the ball, but I think they lost a lot of their "swagger" too when Turner Gill left.

Just dreaming out loud...

Please no. He is a terrible X's and O's guy.

He could get a shot with a program out west like Fresno State who I hear is very frustrated with their HC right now.

That guy is an awful headcoach. He is not an X's and O's guy. All he can do is motivate and yell and scream. But the issue was he couldn't motivate as his players couldn't stand him. They hated his guts. I was in SF for business earlier in the year and was told that 4 guys just walked out and quit on the team cuz they could not stand Singletary anymore. I think Mike had a very large ego too. I doubt he'll ever be a HC again. Maybe a DC but more likely a TV Guy

I dont see them firing Edwards to get anyone else at D Cord. He got himself fired with all the QB switching that he did

No to Singletary as DC...Maybe, maybe, LBer coach.
Phillips will never return to the Bills as long as Wilson is still owner.
Lewis has no interest in Buffalo.

Don't be surprised to see Billick get his shot next year and bring Lewis along with him.

People forget Marvin Lewis' wife didnt want to live in buffalo, at least that was the rumor why he wasnt our head coach in 2001.

A fine line between motivational speaker and actual coaching. He was a terrible hire to begin with. Couldn't believe they extended him.

I do NOT want him as a DC.

Bad coach or not, I sure as **** would not want to be the one to deliver that message to him.
