two fumbles on returns and one in the running game?

No shouldn't cut, but just once in this decade I would like us to get a stud player with our first pick in the draft.
You know, somebody who can actually step right in and play on one of the worst teams in the league. Really shouldn't be that difficult unless you draft like the Bills.

Re: hey Eb, should we cut Spiller?
Unlike McToast, he is not in his third year. So, no, not after one year...but if year two is like year one you might start considering him a bust.
Running backs are a nickle a dozen. He was a luxury pick when this team was starving at other positions. The Bills were like the kid that was starving for a healthy meal but went and chose cookies. Right now, Danny Woodhead is a better back. Sure, say what you want about NE but DW doesn't fumble or run like he's never been behind an offensive line.
For all the education and practice each of us undergoes, the achievment of mastery is ultimately the outcome of a personal quest for understanding.

Sigh. When they drafted the guy, MOST people on here were in love with the pick. He was supposed to be a "gamebreaker"...
Yet to me, he was a smaller RB on a team that was ONLY set at RB (also one of the easiest postions to find since the OL is really the key to a good run game or not.
More ****ing brilliance from the FO that would be better run by 10 random football fans.

Spiller need to work on pass pro, and he will be fine. I don't think running or receiving are issues with him, as he has flashed in both areas. He has shown he can contribute on ST as well, with a TD. He needs to learn the protection schemes and needs to hold onto the ball. Once he does, his natural ability will do the rest.
I have used the Jamaal Charles comparison before and it is apt. Look at Charles rookie numbers, right down to the fumbles. Look at how he has improved since, to the point where he is one of the most dynamic offensive players in the NFL.
A little patience seems called for here.Last edited by Ickybaluky; 12-28-2010, 10:37 AM.
