Re: Draft positioning
ther is no way a team will purposly loose. the league would fine the crap out of an organization and the scandel would be embarrasing to the league.
everyone KNOWS that FANS want to loose to gain better draft position, and teams may play some scrubs if they have secured a playoff position, but Ive NEVER seen a team tank on purpose... never. In my day we did not have self-esteem... we had self-respect, and no more of it then we earned.

Re: Draft positioning
I don't get the "they have to win" mentality. I obviously root for them to win on a weekly basis, but at this point with one game left, it does nothing but hurt them in the draft. I would think if you care about the future then you'd understand that losing is the best case scenario.
And I don't think winning will carry over to next season like a bowl win in college might. Who knows how many players on Sunday will even be on the team next opening day.

Re: Draft positioning
Always go for the win, and then draft wisely at whatever position you have in the draft. How do the Pats, Colts and Steelers manage to win, and stay on top at the same time?Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?
