Obvioulsy Nix is not going to try and win a meaningless game when we have a shot at a top 3 pick.

Obvioulsy we finally have a GM that is trying to build a contender.

I agree. If we beat the patriots I would have liked to see us sweep the AFC East these last 3 games

but since we didn't even show up against the Pats there is absolulty no reason to try and win this game.

here's to drafting #2 overall. We can do it, and that would be a huge gain considering that we won a few games and played a couple tough teams into OT.

that being said I hope Brohm has a rock solid game, that would make this game fun to watch

My philosophy for today: Root for the Bills, but if they lose, no skin off my back.

the only reason fitzpatrick isn't starting is because he reached his incentive. if fitzy had a 80-90% passer rating for the year he gets an extra 150,000$. his passer rating is 81.1 or right around there. that's the only reason he isn't starting.

I'm sure the fact that Fitz can't move on his bum knee has nothing to do with it.

Edwards deserved his fate. I was over it when he got cut. I think Fitz is a great backup but I still think we need a QB.

The offensive line certainly isn't doing him any favors, but up to this point it doesn't appear that he's really doing anything at the line pre-snap.

Didn't you "guarantee" the Bills would not finish last in the AFC East this season?

Starting Brohm was awesome. First, it guaranteed a loss. Second, it showed why Fitz has been starting the whole year. BTW, if Fitz is a career backup, then what does that make Brohm?

17 QB rating today. In his two official starts he has like a 27 QB rating.

This guy blows.

no excuses for the guy here, he was absolutely awful today. i think gailey and nix knew this and wanted the third pick of the draft.

And some people didn't want to even see what Brohm could do after his high school and college career. Equally :insane:

I don't think starting Brohm was a deliberate attempt to lose the game. I hoped Brohm would take charge and show more than he did. While one might argue that Brohm didn't get much help from the game plan or the offensive line, he did not show enough even under the circumstances to argue that he can be any kind of answer at the QB position. Bring on the offseason and see if the Bills do anything to suggest they have a clue.

I'd take Trent over Brohm. 2 starts for Brohm has equaled 3 total offensive points for us!

Maybe the Bills could claim Graham Harrell next after his college career. And I hear Colt Brennan is available ....

Reminder: he was drafted in the second round of the draft. Not the seventh. Not an undrafted free agent. He was a legitimately respected prospect.

The problems in Brohm's game are obvious. It doesn't mean he can't have a viable professional career. It just means he's not ready to play in the NFL. Something is missing from his game. It's certainly not a physical question. Can it be taught? Maybe-- and I'd say yes.

Either way, we saw him... and he failed his test. Time for him to move on to the minors. He is, as of now, a bust.

And when a second-round pick is cut after one season -- and they keep the seventh-round pick instead -- that means something went horribly wrong. When else has that happened?
Even James Hardy lasted longer than that before he lost out to a seventh-rounder.
When something that unheard of happens, anything he did before the NFL is irrelevant. It immediately and rightfully defines his career.

So was Cade McNown, so was Akili Smith, etc, etc, etc...

The guy simply isn't good enough to perform at this level and is/was a wasted roster spot.
