You know it's a rough season when this is the only thing us Bills fans have to be happy about. At least if we were going to suck again we have a better draft position this year. If our past accomplishments are any indication of this draft it will just be more money that we pay for another bust.

I was hoping Palmer would complete that pass so bad!!! It would have made the Bengals 5-11...oh well.

The order is 1. Carolina, 2. Denver, 3. Buffalo, 4. Cincinnati. It's locked up. Nothing else makes a difference.

The Denver Broncos, Bills and Bengals all finished at 4-12, with the Broncos getting the second pick because they had the easiest schedule. Denver's opponents finished with 131 wins (either St. Louis or Seattle will likely add a win to that total in the night game), for a winning percentage of .516 (again, that will change slightly after the night game).

That's well ahead of where the Bills and Bengals finished. Buffalo's opponents went 148-108, for a winning percentage of .578.

Cincinnati's opponents won one more game, going 149-107, for a winning percentage of .582, a razor-thin amount better than the Bills.

I wouldn't throw out the idea of Carolina trading the #1 pick if they found another team to play ball. From what I've heard, it's the Panther's upper brass that are really high on Clausen and want to build around him. They may not want to give up on him so soon, especially with so many other needs.

We could help Carolina by keeping them in the top 5, giving them a 2nd and 3rd rounder (they traded away their 2nd round pick for this year) and help ourselves by getting the guy everyone wants.

Are you referring to Luck? I don't want him, he'll be a bust. I'd rather take a shot on Newton if the Bills are picking a QB in the 1st, which I hope they don't.

No man, kill that noise. If we don't have hope in the future, then we have nothing.

This is the year we strike Draft gold. Bank it.

Most of us secretly thought we would find a way to win this game and tumble down to 7-9, we didn't, in past years that's exactly what we do.

That is a sign that our bad luck streak is finally broken.

Will we then run two QB backfield sets when we draft Barkley in 2012?

Sounds deadly, I'm in.

Probably not, but close.

The last trade for a #1 was back in 2001. The Chargers traded away #1 for the Falcons' #5, the next year's 2nd round pick, and wide receiver Tim Dwight. #1 became Michael Vick. #5 became LaDanian Tomlinson.

So, to move up from #3 to #1, it wouldn't take the farm, but you may have to throw in a fresh body to seal the deal.

EDIT:
I stand corrected. I forgot the Manning-Rivers trade in 04. That was a #4, a 3rd-rounder, and a first-round in '05 for a #1.

moving up 2 slots would only cost us the 2nd and like a 5th I bet if we really want the pick. I think Buddy will want to stay at 3 or trade down, not up.

No, we need a true franchise QB...it would do way more for this organization then a bunch of draft picks.

San Diego is a golden trading partner, that Falcons trade was a win-win, as was (obviously) their trade with the G-men.

no we need a run d a rt we also need another cb and ss also some lbs would help

and a qb

I want a new qb but I would rather trade back

i haven't watched enough on luck and afraid of newtons mindset (bc of issues)

I am just saying it might be better to fill holes then get a qb I'm still ok with fitz with a better team
