POZ & Whitner talk about staying

    Whitner emotional

“It was really emotional even before we got to the stadium,” said Whitner. ”I love these guys in this locker room, and I love this staff. This is the only place I’ve ever been. I’ve spent more time with these guys than I have with my actual family, so it makes it tough. It all comes down to the emotional side of the game. We don’t know where were going, but like I said, I would like to be back here. Now it is the off season, so we will see what happens.”

Poz would like to stay a Bill

Poz was asked about his thoughts as he enters an offseason minus a new contract.

“That’s a good question,” Posluszny said. “I don’t know. I would like to stay in Buffalo and see this thing through, but that’s up to Buddy Nix and Coach Gailey and I’ll see if they want me to be a part of this thing or not.”

IMHO, both positions could be upgraded with playmakers .

they are not problems - they are not stars...they are building blocks that should not be let go especially Poz

Just because Poz isn't a start doesn't mean he's pretty darn good at his position.

As stated above, these guys are building blocks. There is no reason to cut bait and hope that someone else fills in. Can we get a better ILB? Yes, but put him next to the serviceable Poz.
      Bye Bye Brady...

I'd resign Poz to a modest contract. I bet he'd accept a fair offer.

Whitner....he wants way more money than he's worth. He's a good hitter, makes some decent plays in the running game, but he's by no means great against the run. And we all know that he's a liability in coverage. Let him walk.

          I'd get rid of both.

poz isnt going anywhere whether people like it or not. whitner is gone.. scott is under contract for another year and wilson is easily resignable and we can draft a S in the mid rounds.

Poz would be very good if he had some other good LBs around him. It's gotta wear on you pretty much knowing you have to make every play on defense because nobody else can/will.

Poz needs a big thumper next to him. He's built to fly to the ball, not take on OL every snap.

poz will be back, donte is gone, we can replace donte with a scott or wilson and get depth with a mid rd pick... florence should be back as will youboty.

get poz a thumper in the draft like donta hightower in rd 3... poz could fly to the ball while donta blows up fbs...

i think the biggest key to our run d is moving kyle williams to end and getting a legit nt. paul soliai would be great. we can get at least one premium fa. nix wouldnt mind that..

lol at the POS and 'fly to the ball' being used in the same sentence.

In other words, we need guys who can attack and initiate the tackle so he can follow up late and jump on the pile.

I think Poz will be back. He wasn't spectacular this year but was productive. Whitner is done though. I don't see him coming back next year.
