The brute has long, blond hair and streams of tattoos. He deliberately drowns out pregame speeches by cranking heavy metal bands Slayer and Pantera through his headphones. He relishes the chance to pancake any and all comers and he once tossed an opponent's football helmet in a rage.

The guy next door is honest and thoughtful. He donates money and time to police departments, goofs around with the neighbors' kids, paints, and plays guitar and drums. He surfs, rides a custom-made chopper and once dressed up as Uncle Sam to parade down the street on a Mardi Gras float....
