He's having a nice game against Philly.

14 carries for 91 yards, 2 catches for 9.

Just set the Packer record for yards rushing by a rookie in the post season.

Saw him play a few times. Nice runner, straight ahead style. Would have went in the first few rounds had he not gotten hurt and missed his senior year.

Kudos to the man!! He looked pretty polished...he picked a good day to have a career day...and to solidify himself a job next year!

"explosive" was the word people should've been looking for on this guy. Even when he gained 3 yards, he was vertical to the ground diving forward.

Why the hell didn't they play him more during the season when their running back situation was so awful? He was very good on Sunday.

In 1964, the first two players from UB made the pros. Willie Ross RB (Buffalo Bills) and Gerry Philbin, DE, an AFL Star performer for the New York Jets. Philbin was quite a good player in his day. Ross lasted on a year with the Bills, while Philbin had a great career with the Jets.

I know four. James Starks, Naaman Roosevelt, Jamey Richard and Trevor Scott.

Naaman Roosevelt, Trevor Scott (Oakland), Jamey Richard (Indianapolis), and obviously James Starks. Can't think of the 5th.

He was in the doghouse for a bit because he wasn't really learning the playbook due to injuries in preseason.

They just wanted him to spend more time learning. seems like he gets it now. plus they let him get into rhythm this game by feeding him the ball so much.

Safety Mike Newton, Colts.

And just as an FYI, QB Drew Willy was just signed to a futures contract by the Jets.

Speaking of Mike Newton:

Half the back?? Starks was on the PUP list till November. This game was his first real action of the year because he didn't learn the Packers playbook. I know Spiller has been a disappointment but let's not get carried away over one game.
