Ryan the Rocket

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/stats?playerId=232007

Big Ben

http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/ben-roethlisberger-1.html

Roughly the same yards per attempt, TD's, int, and rushing ability, QB rating, size, etc. They were on vastly differently teams. They say Ryan has an attitude, so does Big Ben. The question is?????

If Big Ben was in this draft would you draft him at number 3 now knowing what you would get. Is it possible that Ryan Mallett is the second coming?

Second question, If we won a couple of those close games and was drafting outside the top ten would you accept Ryan easier??????

You can't judge or compare QB's based only upon college stats. There are many cases where the one with the best stats are not even on the NFL radar. The college competition is too bad to go by stats.

Of course you would draft Big Ben #3 knowing what you would get. You would draft him #1 and trade draft picks to get in that spot if you had to. That is a no-brainer.

I wanted us to draft him in 2004 but Pittsburgh ended up taking him. I'm sure if he was still there the Bills would've drafted him instead of Evans. I don't believe he would've been as good with us as with Pittsburgh though. We wouldn't have had the same team and coaching around him. I can almost guarantee we wouldn't have one SB victory let alone two of them.

Do you think if Big Ben went to Buffalo and did not have the defence or O line around him he may have failed and maybe even ben considered a bust??? Are we that bad???

Yes indeed. I'd be down with Ryan "Summer's Eve" Mallet with all his douchiness as a Bill if he didn't have LESS athleticism than Bledsoe while not being as strong.
