We can all pick the positions that we we want and the players but ultimately the Bills make the choice.

I won't say we will or won't do anything. I'm just saying not to rule out a QB at 3.

Bills head coach Chan Gailey supports Ryan Fitzpatrick as his leader moving forward. But Bills general manager Buddy Nix might not agree, and owner Ralph Wilson will make the final call.

Which basically should be his only role. Owners need to stay out of these decisions and let their more qualified employees handle them.

I can't throw it in the trash that quick. I think the thought that we may indeed draft a franchise potential quarterback has some amount of merit. The position is viewed as too critical to ignore if you don't currently have one.

I'm a fan of Fitzpatrick and I think Gailey is also, but a qb at #3 wouldn't surprise me at all if they think Newton or Gabbert are worth it. I think by far our biggest needs are at LB, OT, and TE and there simply aren't any prospects at those positions worthy of the #3 pick. I know fans will say DL is a huge need, but I don't think the Bills agree. Our best player is Kyle Williams, our biggest free agent signing last year was Dwan Edwards, and they invested 2nd and 3rd round picks in a couple guys they obviously feel strongly about regardless of what fans may think. I'm not saying they won't consider the DL at #3, but I think Bowers, Dareus, or Fairley will only be the pick if they are truly the BPA. So if they don't go DL then that really only leaves AJ Green, Peterson, or a qb and I could easily see them thinking that a qb is going to have the biggest impact overall if they really like one of them.

And Ralph having the final say really bothers me. Just let Nix do his job. I'm not a Ralph hater, but the guy has said multiple times that our lack of success over the past decade falls completely on his shoulders, so why would he continue to try and make decisions for this team that he has no business making?

Would getting a franchise QB be such a bad thing though? It is the most important position on the team. I love Fitz but he isn't a championship QB to me.

I want Dline first round but I won't lose my mind if they went QB.

We are 4-12 and picking number 3 in the draft. No position is off limits.

Bottom line this team needs elite talent. We have nearly zero of that

If we are going to draft a QB I would rather wait until the 2nd round. I could live with one at #3 if there was a blue chip QB there but the QB class is weak this season compared to previous seasons.

If there was a prospect they liked then I could handle taking one in the 2nd round if they are still there but not at #3. Wait till next year and draft one then. We will probably be drafting in the Top 10 again next year.
