LOL. What an idiot. I hope he reads this message board.

Whitner, you are nothing but a servicable starting safety. Guys like you are a dime a dozen. Get over yourself. Thanks for the 3 big plays you made in your entire Bills career.

My thought is he should keep his mouth shut & sign for what the average safety money is because Whittner is an AVERAGE safety, NOTHING more.

If he leaves, he won't be missed.

He's a douche. He has a big mouth, and can't back up what he says. I used to support him, but he's constantly making himself look like a moron via Tweeting. I hope he signs with Miami so the Bills can actually benefit from his play for once.

Once free agency hit I think he will be very disappointed to find out what his value is on market. I could see him signing for close to what the Bills felt his worth was versus what he thought his worth. He is a decent player just nothing special.

No one is going to offer him more than the reportedly 5 million a year offer from the Bills

I think he ends up resigning for average starting money after finding out from other teams that he isn't worth what he thinks he is.

That's a big reason I like the transition tag for him. Let other teams tell him what he's worth and if it's too much for him, we can just choose not to match. Yet if he gets no offers or even a reasonable offer, we can still sign him. I can prevent losing him on a contract that we would have paid.

This must be Why our secondary took a step back this year. Our secondary was supposed to be our best unit after last year. They didn't create a turnover till week 13 or 14. What a joke

Dumbass. Now he's just trying to antagonize the fans. i used to support Whitner saying that he had a lot of passion for being a Bill and that most of the hate was towards his draft spot.

Now I see he is just a douche.

Whitner is a 'decent' safety...by no means a stud, but not a complete weak link either. The thing about his situation is that he is expendable with little drop off. We could live with Wilson/Byrd/Scott and a mid-to-low FA or rookie (hell, maybe even Brett Johnson or Cary Harris) for a season while looking for a stellar SS after the front seven is beefed up.

3rd rank pass defense by default. When you can run for 200+ yards a game, why pass?

I don't even want whitner for average money now. Let him get his huge payday from synder. His girlish complaining symbolizes the weakness of our d.

thats only because no one needed to pass against us... they just ran it all day long. if you dont have to defend a pass you look good against the pass

Myself personally, I think Donte Whitner plays his ass off and is a very good example for the younger players. Last season was a bad season to gauge our secondary that did a admirable job stepping up in run support. The Bills secondary play was the only reason the Bills even stood a chance in some ball games from a defensive standpoint in my opinion.

One good pass rusher like a Nick Fairley for instance, could change everything,

The Buffalo Bills need to get the deal done...

In the end, the Bills' ranking of third in the NFL in passing yards allowed was a hollow victory. Facing a Bills defense that was 32nd against the run, why would opposing quarterbacks throw? In fact, the Bills faced the second-fewest pass attempts in the league (29.5 a game).

Whitner recently tweeted something about why they weren't in the playoffs.

I replied "To many first round whiffs." Funny, he didn't retweet that.

Does this guy really need any more comments?

You have like 5 people who defend whatever he does and think he's a top 5 SS.

Then you have everyone else.

Whtner, for an average Safety, you sure do run your mouth. What the Bills offered you may well have been more than your worth already. Want to see how elite Safeties play? Watch Troy Polamalu. That's elite.

hopefully he goes to miami so whatever scrub we have playing at TE will make a living off two weeks every year.

not to mention crowder and whitner would be a whole lot of stupid on one defense

You mean the Bills are going to undo that 2006 draft and trade Whitner for Ngata?

Hey, a guy can dream, can't he?
