Coming into this season the hot prospect from Buffalo was S Davonte Shannon and while he is still a prospect, CB Josh Thomas is making everybody forget about him with his Shrine Bowl week.
Despite putting up 110 tackles, 2.5 TFL, and 4 INT's, Shannon received not one All-Star invitation (that we know of yet-Sr Bowl Roster still to be released fully).
Josh Thomas on the other hand had 58 tackles, 5.5 TFL, 2 sacks, 1 INT, 1 FF and 8 PD and got a E-W Shrine Bowl invite where he has been showing out. Thomas showed off fluid hips and good athleticism through two practices so far and after talking to people down there he certain has had more than a few scouts calling around about this kid and likely sending in tape requests.
Just a heads up. Im going to do a post later about all the local prospects when I have a little more time.
