FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- It's no secret Michael Vick can zip the ball when he throws it. What is somewhat unknown is how well Atlanta Falcons backup Doug Johnson can rifle it, too.
Watching the Falcons this week during their quarterback school, passes from both players were getting to receivers in a hurry. We expect that from Vick, in large part because he has become an NFL phenomenon and because he has one of the best arms in the league.
Johnson is not far behind. Any team looking for a quality starter in 2004 needs to closely study Johnson. The guy can play. He can make all the throws, understands the offense and gets the ball out on time. Could he be the next Kurt Warner? ...
