Do you even envision Cam Newton makes that pass

on his rollout, when people are moving, when defenders are coming so close.

This is what Ben is at his best, not so much of having everything under his control when Brady is at his best, not the the precise timing that peyton shows all the time. It's play that looks going bad quickly and Ben just makes the best he could - not a highlight reeling kind of play, mind you, just enough to get it done.

Some have compared Newton's playing style, body size to Ben. Both of them are not a film room guy like Peyton was since college. When Roethlisberger came out, people have seen this kind of stuff for 3 years at Miami U of Ohio. Count me as one guy who did not believe that he could translate that into NFL at that time. He proved us wrong.

Now the question is onto Newton. He has a much smaller sample size to choose from. The question is can we envision him doing that in NFL on a regular basis a couple of years down the road?

      Sure.

After he crashes his motorcycles and takes advantage of a few drunk girls.

Newton isn't even close to the kind of player Big Ben was in college. Nor will he come close to the kind of player he is in the pros.

How many Heisman's did Ben win? I forget.

No. I envision Cam running 25 yards on that play.

Cam would have ran it for 40 yards, got up and dusted off his red cape.

As long as I don't have to envision him in a Bills' uniform . . .
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

I'm sure Ben is plenty happy with being a Super Bowl winner than a Heisman winner.

And since when did winning the Heisman mean NFL success?

Probably never and with good reason, how do you measure a player playing against inferior competition? Newton deserved the Heisman. He carried his team on his back to an undefeated season. In fact if it wasn't for the flap over his dad trying to sell his son's services to colleges he would have won by the largest margin ever. I'm not saying we should draft Newton but he was awesome at Auburn this year.

Well, Cam had no real competition for the Heisman so you could be right, but there was also the fact he was caught cheating while at Florida three times & he was also caught with a stolen computer. Those are issues NFL teams will be looking into before drafting Newton.
