    Upgrades on offense fuel confidence as minicamp ends
    Offseason workouts leading to the 2002 training camp revealed just how far the Texans had to go to become a team capable of lining up and competing with the rest of the NFL.

    A year later, they are amazed at just how far they have come.

    The recently completed, three-day minicamp wrapped up an offseason program that lasted five weeks and included 19 practices. Coach Dom Capers said goodbye to players until training camp, and when he gathered the team for one final meeting, his message was one the players already had been giving one another.
