He's dominant when he plays hard. The problem is getting him to play hard consistently.

No, Cleveland cut his fatass. Cleveland. It's bad enough we gobble up patriot rejects, but we gotta draw the line somewhere.

Well they cut about 13 mil in 2011 salary today, and he doesn't fit Jauron's "system" so I figured that'd be a green light at least to bring him in....

No thank you!

He started one game for them in 2010, played in 15 and recorded 17 tackles, 2 sacks. He's 31.
He might be done.
No thanks.

Meh.

Assuming the CBA gets done, let's see how the draft and FA play out. If he's still available and we can't find any other help for the DL, then maybe. But I don't think we need to jump on this one.

Sign him at a reduced rate... let him earn a job as a backup, and sub him in in run situations if we think it's a upgrade against the run.

If he doesn't fit Jauron's system, then I would definitely pick him up. That means he's a good player because Jauron doesn't know **** about talent!

...and begin.

So and so got released...he sucks, pass...repeat. Good thing that only goes strong until September.

So and so got released...he sucks, pass...repeat. Good thing that only goes strong until September. We should be trying to add as many viable candidates to the training camp roster as possible. And we should be doing it from all available areas. I mean Kellen Heard is so good that he shouldn't be pushed by Shaun Rogers? Always look to upgrade all levels of your roster. Then let Gailey sort them out in training camp. Especially on a 4 win team.

Im hesistant, he's gone quite a few miles already and he has had injury issues in the past.

Id sign him maybe as a rotation NT but right now that means you'd have; Troup, Rogers, and Williams with a likely pick or PFA coming in as well. Not sure if he fits.

Don't like him at all at the 5-tech.

If he's so good, why does he keep getting cut ?

Knock,knock...

it would be extremely frustrating if the bills went with a QB who can't start in the first round and then addressed the DL with a washed up player like rodgers and tried to sell that as change.

I agree with Draftboy on his position. He'd be a pure nose tackle. He's not going to be a difference maker. I'd hold off untill June or so and If I felt I had a real need there, I might sign him to a cheap or incentive laden contract.

Rogers has been playing the NT spot since he has been in Cleveland and he was amazing at it.

If he is healthy and can be had for a decent contract then he would be a big help in stopping the run.

Yes - if healthy - and cost is in line.

He went down in '09 against CIN - knee, ankle, I forget. He (gratuitously) horse-collared Palmer along the sidelines, and he got paid back in kind, IMO.

I don't know if they keep records, but he excels at disrupting FG attempts.
