What would your team, realistically, look like after this season?

Forwards:
Vanek-Richards-Hejduk
Stafford-Roy-Ennis
Ennis-Gaustad-Kassian
Kaleta-Gerbe-McCormick
Byron/Adam

Leopold-Morrisonn
Myers-Ehrnoff
Montador-Butler/Weber

Miller
Enroth

Richards 7.5 per
Hejduk 3.0 per
Ehrnoff 3.5 per
= +14 million

-21.2 million (connolly/hecht/grier/pominville/neids/rivet/sekera/lalime)

Raises:
+2.5 (stafford)
+.250 (mccormick)
+.350 (gerbe)
+1.45 (weber)
+.350 (butler)
+.200 (montador)
= +5.050

Acquisitions: 14 million
Dead weight: -21.2 million
Raises: 5.05 million
= -2.15 million

Leaves us with about 6.5 million in cap space if I'm doing this correctly. :bath:

Anyone, so long as Connolly isn't included.

JD, that's an awesome post. if the numbers are right, that would be a team to be excited about.

I think i would switch your line up a bit. if stafford is still on the up and up, he might be better on line one and the line two roy vanek combo could keep people on their toes.

I'd also maybe move mcormick with gaustad and slide kassian with gerbe. This maybe makes gaustad more of a goal scoring line with size and kassian as body guard for gerbe.

yeah McCormick is on his way up. He won't be a 4th liner next year.

Thanks for that Trap.. I just realized I had Ennis up there twice.

How does this look:

Vanek-Roy-Hejduk
Stafford-Richards-Ennis
Byron-Gaustad-Mccormick
Kaleta-Gerbe-Kassian
Adam

Leopold-Morrisonn
Myers-Ehrnoff
Montador-Butler/Weber

Miller
Enroth

i didn't realize that ennis was on there twice.

i think the roy line would stay as your number 2 line and the richards line would be your number 1 line.

I also have only seen very little from byron. he's a hard skater when he gets on the ice. it'd be cool if he was a big league player, but i doubt it. if reiger keeps the job, he's good at finding 3 line wingers. they might be 2000 years old, but he'll get them.

i think if roy's injury this year has proved anything, its that you need to keep him and Vanek on different lines, and i think sekera is still worth keeping
