Great news? I'm not knocking it, but it's really a non-factor.

Once again, sarcasm is proven difficult to convey on a message board.

Corto is an excellent Special Teamer, though.

it is great news, perhaps this will get the "let's resign a person like Kelsay to $24MM" won't occur mid season next year. This way someone will be like, "didn't we already extend our dumbass contract extension this year? and someone else will be like, "yeah, we signed corto. so put the pen down and don't signstroud to a $50MM 8 year deal."

He's an excellent special teamer on our crappy special teams... and I hardly ever notice him.

He must give good head or something....

Corto is the local boy done good, but to say he is good on special teams is not exactly true.

The reason I noticed him on special teams was because he was the one that usually was hit with a penalty.

I guess it was a small contract, and I would think that his chances of making it through camp are relatively small.

My apologies.

with ellison on the way out, someone needs to be our tiny LB that should only be limited to ST but will find his way into the starting line up based on total lack of talent and injuries.

Smart move not letting him hit FA. He would have been a hot commodity on the open market.

The Corto Zone... I was thinking this could be where he buys the tickets for charity, but then I figured that it could be where opposing WR's go to enter a world of pain.

Dude, mark it zero.

What a relief! Now we don't have to use the franchise tag on him.

I only have one question...Why?

I'm upset that he allowed his parents to shave Fitz's beard.

Merriman on one side, Corto on the other. We're set at OLB.

Not saying that this is how it will turn out, but most of us would've looked at re-signing Jim Leonard in a similar light.

And...Who?

Out of all the Bills' games I've watched I don't think I've heard his name called once, but yeah, I forgot that's what it takes to get an extension with this FO.

A guy who has been re-signed and yet may not even make next years final team.

Jon Corto was a marketing move!!! This stinks of Brandon!!!

I'll bet 500 Zone bucks the dude doesn't make it through camp...first come first serve.

Financially, I think this move takes us out of the Lamarr Woodley sweepstakes.
