It could be both...but it says Stadium Artificial turf replacement. Not Field house or practice field turf replacement.

Back in early February, ESPN's Tim Graham wrote about an NFLPA poll that named the surface at Ralph Wilson Stadium as the worst artificial playing surface in the NFL. The Buffalo Bills installed their current playing surface, called AstroPlay, just prior to the start of the 2003 season.

what makes the bills turf so bad? anyone know? is it covered during the offseason to prevent the weather from ruining it? or is it something that just sucked from it's first installation. It has to stil be 100% better than the old Astro turf carpet that we had during the glory years. I heard that was harder than the parking lots.

I think it is pretty clear that they are replacing the turf because the logo is going to change in some way, thus the carpet needs replacing. Personally, I think FieldTurf should be the way to go or put down real grass.

The company that put down the present field went out of business the next year, so upkeep was left to the Bills. A new field is overdue.

There is virtually no difference, bottom line is the replacement is due to age as they break down not due to the Astro Play being inferior.
