The only Defense that was worse than Denver's against the run was Buffalo's.
Denver also had the fewest sacks (23) in the league.

i hear ya and agree with ya, but you gotta look at it as a new GM standpoint...Nix and Gailey dont look at what we havent had in a long time (hell we havent had much of anything in a long time), they look at it like a business and see where we lack and address that...Dead last against the rush...to me thats a gaping hole in the boat that needs to be plugged

Not my favorite positions of need to address either. However, these two could be actual difference makers worthy of their draft position.
If this is the case, they had better find D-line and OLB help in free agency.
Matthews is underrated.

i just don't like a CB, no matter how awesome. we've been down that road. we don't have a good enough defensive base to actually let the guy lockdown. And we are stockpiling punt returners like we can actually force a team to punt.

the team needs to get a top DT.

we could use a TE, and if they are taht good, take him, but i'd rather see a LB. Because our LB's are so bad that even a mediocre newbie, will be light years ahead of the crap we have there.

True, but there are much larger holes that need filling, & they need to be filled by LARGE men. Those big guys that can MOVE are never available later in the draft.

a TE and a CB?

might as well find something to do other then watch the bills next year.

well we can hope that OBD isn't that stupid. I do like KR... he'll be a great pro... but after taking a CB... that would make me sick.

The word out of Philly is they want a first this year plus something else for Kolb. the Cards won't get to keep their 1st if they trade for Kolb. So IF they don't trade for Kolb they'll have to go QB at their pick.

Throw in one other fact.

Until there is a new CBA, trading players can't happen. So if they go into the NFL draft without a CBA, the cards will have to move forward as if they don't have one and will draft a QB anyway.

49ers will probably go QB... if the Pats get Clayborn and Pouncey i might be sick.

I think that is something that's going to happen regardless of who the Bills pick. Fixing this team will not happen with 1 draft.

This is draft #2.

Your proposed mock draft is viable, but only because this team is on record ignoring the positions of most need in the last draft. The Bills passed up Bryan Bulaga in favor of C.J. Spiller. Bulaga has a Super Bowl ring now as Green Bay's starting RT. We had to suffer through Cordaro Howard at the position. The OT position was only addressed in Round 5-- with Ed Wang, who is being converted to guard and saw almost no action-- and Round 7, the latter of whom didn't even make the final roster or even the practice squad.

So, it's only natural that this team will waste their pick on yet another speed position, which is how this team has wasted every one of their draft picks except Maybin this decade. Never mind the glaring hole in the middle of the defense. Let's pick another cornerback! I swear, this team is committed to failure.

dude spiller was a fantastic pick, he wasnt used this year because gailey and nix knew we sucked, didnt want to put dumb miles on him...

also the carrington troup picks which were high picks show that this front office of nix and whaley are way different. when was the last time buffalo took 2 big dlineman that can 2 gap like that in the first 3 rds?

cameron jordan or marcell dareus will be the pick with an outside chance of cam newton

and even if we take newton, 2 dlineman will be taken high along with an ot...

Spiller still has potential to be a fantastic pick.

But if you believe they didn't play a 1st round draft pick to "save his legs" since the team was no good I don't know what to even say to you.

If a player is ready to play and play fanastically (since he was a fantastic pick) he would have been on the field.

It would have made the bad team better and it would have made the coaching/ team management much better and would have given a rookie experience.

Yeah they have to show something.......................... in year 2 or 3. You can't expect guys drafted after the 1st rnd to make an immediate impact. If they make an impact next year they will be very good draft picks.
