    Kaberle to Boston sounds done

B's are trading MarK Stuart to Chicago (Sad, I like Stewie)
And Wheeler and a pick to Toronto for Kaberle.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

There was a person that said there are not a lot of inter division trades in hockey in another thread. There are plenty in hockey.

here's a link to the trades made last year from Jan 1, 2010 to the trade deadline. 4 out of 52 trades...as I said, trades within a division don't happen that often.

          Deal is done.

With defenceman Tomas Kaberle in the fold, the Boston Bruins made another big deal sending forward Blake Wheeler and defenceman Mark Stuart to the Atlanta Thrashers in exchange for centre Rich Peverley and defenceman Boris Valabik.

Tomas Kaberle's time as a Toronto Maple Leaf has finally come to an end.
After 12 seasons in blue and white, the Maple Leafs have traded the veteran defenceman to the Boston Bruins in exchange for prospect centre Joe Colborne, the Bruins' first round pick in 2011 and a conditional draft pick.

That will be the big move at the trade deadline...I'm betting all other moves will be anti-climactic.

Two solid deals for the B's this week. Kelly debuts with the B's tonight

The key was getting Kaberle to waive the no trade clause....lots of rumor that Boston was only one of three cities he would accept a trade to.

I think Boston was the only city.

Wheeler is terrible... he's the worst big man I have ever seen.

                          Paille from Sabres to Bruins

These 3 teams don't seem to care that much in recent years.

Ottawa just sent Chris Kelly to Boston too. Sabres should have pulled the trigger on that for a 2nd round pick, we could have used a Center.

Wins are the only thing. There is like 5 people at every game, and they are trying to sell that they have Evander Kane and Big Buff to all the black folks to get them to come to the games, not working.

It's still a very small percentage of the total trades.
