From what I know this is definitely in the horizon, and the Hawks are having $$ problems with all the deals they locked a few years ago......

i'd be for ennis for kane if the sabres can bring in some grinders during the offseason.

i wonder what kane's take of being here would be. If he is jonesing to be here, this would be amazing.

This would be a shot of adrelaline. and with pegula's, "i'll do what it takes." statements, you know this wouldn't just be a gimmick to get people excited. you'd get the sense that he's going to give them the tools to make tim play his game and then get support for others to do what they do well like grind in the corners, etc.

Depends on price. Myers, Miller, Kassian, McNabb, and a couple of other players/prospects are off the table. If we were to do this, they MUST take Hecht as part of the deal simply for cap reasons

They are not taking somebody like Hecht. They have cap issues.

And if the Sabres want Kane, they need to give something up. They are not going to accept our garbage for a player like Kane.

That being said, why go nuts to get this guy? Fantastic player? Sure. We are too obsessed with local guys.

I have been reading a lot of articles out of Chicago recently and I feel like Chicago isn't all that enamored with Kane.

I would be all about bringing the local boy home but only for the right price.

We certainly would have to give up guys like Kassian, Ennis and first rounder at least.
