Hey we a TE. And the Bills have had a recent fetish in bringing in perennially hurt players.

I also forgot about their rookie TE. He was a monster all year.

Like that's tough, his competition is Lecter, Danny, and the Philster.

Well the team does need a TE, Im just not sure if Shockey fits the scheme. TE's on this team don't get the ball a lot.

Give me a break, this guy is a worthless jerk. Some of you guys need to stop falling in love with names.

There are more than two options. I'll take none of the above.

We can still upgrade our TE situation without overpaying for an oft-injured headcase.

The real question is, why did two really good teams in the mist of their SB pursuit let him go, and rather have their inexperienced TEs in Boss and whatshisname in NO?

There's something they know about Shockey that we don't.

Knowing this I think we have an idea.

As long as we could get him at a cheap price I see nothing wrong with it. He's more experienced and talented than any tightend we got on the roster.

Who said to overpay for him?

If he comes cheap enough, why not? It would at least fill that hole for an year or two so they can fix the other holes on the roster.

Please- he's made the pro bowl and he played for Duhhhhh U. And his agent is Drew Rosenhaus. This isn't Madden- he's going to want more than he's worth.

the big question is, would Fitz benefit from having Shockey? Yes. Could we upgrade the position by going with someone else? Yes. Question is , who? Lets have some names.

At the right price I wouldn't mind having him.

Actually, Rosenass had had a great relationship with the bills.

Maybe so- I think it was on the rocks for a while after McGahee but we fixed it up with the TO signing.

Either way, relationship with the team or not, he still has a way of getting his clients more than they're worth, so it won't be easy to get a fair price for any of his guys.

according to some people here Ralph is cheap and Rosenass knows this

Oy vey, why do we have to argue about every cast off from another team that is injured? Let's find a TE that is healthy and has a great attitude, not one that has been cut twice in the last four years.

Well we don't really need to ask this question yet as the Bills are not in the midst of a SB run...

The reason you don't bring in a douche like Shockey is for team chemistry. His own team wouldn't talk to him because he was such an ass. Not that it matters, but I have also read that the media wouldn't even talk to him anymore, and I thought they talked to everyone. From everything you read, the one thing the Bills have going for them is a good locker room. This guy isn't worth it, even if he is paid league minimum.
