that would require some movement...but they also need to move somebody to acquire anybody at this point.

For the right price, I'd do it. DR better at least make a phone call on this.

That being said,
1. I hate trades within the division cuz it's too easy to get burned.
2. I've hated Spezza for so long that rooting for him would definitely take some adjustment.

i'd give them my next 2 firsts and Connolly and/or Roy for him.

A center of Spezza's talents would be a godsend for some of the wingers we have on this team.

I highly doubt it. Buffalo fans are very forgiving in that sense. When former division rivals come to play for us, collectively we are usually quite embracing and supportive. We just want to freakin win!

Of course, if someone leaves the Sabres and goes to another team, we'll boo them every time they come to town, even if they play for another 10 years and we can't remember why we're booing them anymore.
