They also tendered TE Scott Chandler, in addition to ERFA's Felton Huggins and Garrison Sandborn.

For those wondering, the tenders are pretty meaningless for Poz and Whitner. Both have more than 3 accrued seasons and the next CBA will almost certainly let any player with more than 3 seasons become UFA's. Teams are just working this way under the pretense of the rules of the current CBA.

That means if another NFL club signed Posluszny or Whitner to an offer sheet, if and when a free agency period begins this offseason, Buffalo would have a week to match or at the very least receive compensation in the form of a draft choice equal to the round in which they were drafted. Per team policy Buffalo does not disclose the tender level of their qualifying offers.

Like another team would give up a first-rounder for Whitner.

Not even Oakland would.

maybe if we throw in a few boxes of some sisco wine, Oakland will reconsider.

I hope that the "meaningless" part is right, because if we keep these two bums, it will be more proof that nothing has changed under Nix.
