Any thoughts on drafting Von Miller at #3 and then picking up Stephen Paea (2nd coming of Ngata) with our 2nd round pick??I think this helps both our run defense and our pass rush..

I wouldn't be entirely disappointed in the Bills getting Miller at 3. As far as Paea goes, I'm not sure if he is as good of a fit in the Bills defensive scheme as a Fairley, or Dareus. What makes them 2 appealing as draft picks is their versatility. I'm not certain that you get that with Paea. I could be wrong about that though.

I was on board with Miller at #3 but when you look at him closely he has a lot of work to do with his hands and run defense.

DB made the point that he is just an athlete playing LB and although that might be a little too harsh, it's actually not far off.

Miller doesn't engage the OT enough so there is not enough evidence that he can use counter moves or bull rush to compliment his speed.

He is very much like Maybin in that he gets a lot of his sacks by beating the OT with speed.

He is a boom or bust and needs work.

We'd be better off drafting Van Miller at #3.

Much rather have Bowers at 3, and ILB Jones at 34.

damn you Marv for taking Whitner over Ngata - you could have had Whitner in the second.

I would dislike the pick for the same reason I didn't want Maybin. He played at 237 lbs and we would be asking him to take on 320 LB offensive tackles.

Much rather have Robert Quinn who weighs 270 lbs and has ideal size and speed to play outside rush linebacker in our 3-4 scheme.
