Sabres walked away, Rangers traded him to Panthers and now the Panthers have put him on recallable waivers...did the Sabres know something about him? He has played exactly zero NHL regular season games this year.

I don't care much for him as a player.

Nothing spectacular or irreplaceable.

I heard that it's because the teams that had him didn't want to put him on Re-Entry waivers and lose him for nothing and still have to pay half his cheap salary. So the plan was for Florida to wait until the AHL rosters are frozen and avoid the re-entry waivers.

He didn't work hard and thought he'd be owed something because he's from Buffalo. It was a terrible career move on his part. I haven't missed him for one second this season.
