According to Yahoo sports, an agreement was made between NFLPA and the NFL on a rookie wage scale that would limit the amount of money rookies would get, and limiting contracts to 4 years for first rounders and 3 years for 2nd rounders and beyond. i think being realistic, a deal could get done if they extend one more week, holding out they agree on everything by friday...

I think they might have something by Friday. I like the rookie thing except only 3 years for 1st rounders. I dont think they should limit it to such a short time maybe 4 years but not only 3

Well, I would figure if it was 3 for 1st rounders, there would be tendering.

I'm a little surprised to see how the rookie wage scale is progressing. The owners seem to be giving up fast if they truly are giving way on 1) money and 2) length of the contract. All first rounders only need to sign 4 year contracts, and 2nd-7th rounders sign 3 year deals? That is exactly what the NFLPA wanted.

I thought for sure the owners would win big on the rookie pay scale, especially if they give up their dreams for an 18-game season.
