    Anyone hear just hear that??

    Sounded like a collective-cry coming from Toronto

    That's the dagger in the coffin right there.

    Basically the leafs have to go 9-3 over their last 12. They have to go through the Flyers twice, Boston twice, Detroit, Chicago and Pittsburgh

    collective cry?? most leafs fans pretty much thought their season was over weeks ago.

          Before the new year, their season was pretty much over until they went crazy and kept on moving up in the standings.

          I don't think many of them expected it would translate into a permanent run.

            As much as I hate the maple leafs, I'd love to see them make the playoffs for the chance of a BUF-TOR series... That '99 ECF was great.

                    But their run since the all-star break had their hopes up, correct?

                    Built them up for the let down, and I love it.

                    Edit: coming into last night, they were 11-3-5 over their last 19.

                              Of course, now they're only 4 points behind us and 6 points behind Montreal, so they could still make the playoffs. Guess this thread was a little premature.
