Sounded like a collective-cry coming from Toronto :rofl:

That's the dagger in the coffin right there.

Basically the leafs have to go 9-3 over their last 12. They have to go through the Flyers twice, Boston twice, Detroit, Chicago and Pittsburgh :roflmao:

Before the new year, their season was pretty much over until they went crazy and kept on moving up in the standings.

I don't think many of them expected it would translate into a permanent run.

As much as I hate the maple leafs, I'd love to see them make the playoffs for the chance of a BUF-TOR series... That '99 ECF was great.

i live near montreal, let me tell you, leafs fans knew a long time ago that their
season was over

But their run since the all-star break had their hopes up, correct?

Built them up for the let down, and I love it. :air:

Edit: coming into last night, they were 11-3-5 over their last 19.

Of course, now they're only 4 points behind us and 6 points behind Montreal, so they could still make the playoffs. Guess this thread was a little premature.
