    Troup Means Business

So I've been following Troup and a few others during the off season to see what they're up to. Troup has been hitting the gym like a mad man and has been putting on some serious muscle.

Im at a solid 326 lbs!!!

I know he didn't dominate his rookie season but be on the lookout for this guy to be a force for our defense next season. He seems hungry and looking to put in work.

Been watching the videos of him and his father lifting. Troup looks like a monster.

            Troup will be much better.
I watched him plenty of times at UCF and the guy in almost 50% of his games was unblockable.
Coming from Conference USA now in to the NFL was a big change.
I think he will be that much better year after year.

I mean Kyle Willams didn't light it up his 1st year either.
It's difficult for a DL guy to just come in and dominate, not every player is as gifted as SUH......

He has to learn technique, like most coming out of college.

They get by on pure power most times in college and then run into lineman with power they've never seen before, upon arriving in the NFL.

Not too many DL play big in year one. It's a short list recently.

If Troupe comes into his own, we may not need to spend our #3 pick on Dareus/Fairley at all. It'd be like having an extra #1 pick. Damn.

                Bowers? Peterson? Miller?

I'm voting for Miller. Holy crap.

Very few DL, especially 3-4 NT's, contribute their rookie year. Give them one or two years and they turn into monsters, like Ahtyba Rubin and Sione Pouha. I'll be interested to see how Troup does this coming season. I'd bet the 325 range is right where the coaches want him to be.

Another good example is BJ Raji.
                    Had a great 2nd year.........
I dont think the Bills will grab Dareus or Fairley but what doI know or any of us anyway.....

And Troup actually contributed on the field last year.

Troup didn't play badly when he actually got on the field last season. He just didn't got on the field that much because Williams was playing well and rookie defensive linemen, unless they are first round picks usually aren't depended on to contribute a lot. I'm pretty optimistic about Troup making a solid contribution this season.

I'd love to get to the point that Baltimore is at, where they've got starting-level depth. I think Dareus would be a great addition to the rotation.

                            I hear that.....
We need more playmakers all over the place....

Is it Peterson, Miller, Fairley, Newton, Gabbert, Green, etc..........
They have some decisions to make pending what Carolina and Denver do......

Troup just needs to get stronger so he can anchor the middle. The coaches know that and Troup knows that and he is working hard to achieve it. He is the key piece of the 3-4. NT-check. 2 thumper ILB's draft-please!!!

                              1) CB Peterson
                              2) NT Phil Taylor
                              3) ILB Kelvin Sheppard
                              4a) QB Ricky Stanzi
                              4b) ILB Mark Herzlich
                              5) SS Jeron Johnson
                              6) DE Ryan Winterswyk
                              7) OLINE
