Nix and other Bills representatives had dinner with Gabbert on Wednesday night. Of course, with the third overall pick in the draft, Buffalo can go in a few directions. They also recently had Texas A&M linebacker Von Miller in for a visit.

But slightly OT, now with Pat's post about the Bills' short list not including Dareus, I'm a bit worried. Hopefully we at least hear about him visiting them. I really hope Pat is incorrect in his current assessment of the Bills' short list.

I'm sure they are really considering Gabbert. Chan has been saying that if there is a guy they think can be a franchise guy then it would be difficult to pass that up.

Which, imo, makes sense. It does not make sense to leave Dareus off of it, especially if they're as interested in upgrading the front 7 as their actions indicate.

look the only negative ive heard on this kid is footwork.

the fact everyone says he can fit it into small windows intrigues me greatly.

no matter what this is a pass driven league if the kid has the arm strength and accuracy and head.

the footwork is easily fixable.

BTW, I would honestly take a risk on Gabbert over Newton. Cam just rubs me the wrong way. I don't feel that Cam would do what it takes to be a great qb. I think he'd be more interested in his being an icon.
